How to Use "Potato" with Example Sentences


Potato (n): a vegetable with brown, yellow, or red skin that grows in the ground

Used with nouns:

"I brought potato salad to the picnic."
(salad, chips, pancakes, skins, wedges)

"I put everything into a potato sack."
(sack)

"I need a new potato peeler."
(peeler)

Used with adjectives:



"We are having mashed potatoes for dinner."
(mashed, baked, sweet, scalloped)

Used with verbs:

(eat, have)
